Cavendish Art Science Fellowship Application
The following images and gifs are a visual record of the evolution of waveforms. The project begins with “quick & dirty” experiments in a wide variety of media from animation, drawing, interactive sculpture, generative programming and more. Each experiment brings new insight and I begin to hone in on a few works to refine and exhibit to the public.
redshift - animation in Procreate exploring concepts of time, loss and expansiveness
field - charcoal and ink on newsprint. Experiment with concept of fields, particles and waves
redshift - generative program
Self portrait as a particle and a wave
uncertainty principle - generative program
3D model for particle based on "image" of photon
Initial sketch designs for Schrödinger's Box
Schrödinger's Box - interactive sculpture

Early material test with polarized film
Wind-powered kinetic sculpture using polarized film. 3D printed wind turbine, acrylic plexiglass prism, steel base, pvc and acetate rotor.

Installation view of Looking Up at the Surface
"Looking Glasses" used for viewing interactive installation work Looking Up at the Surface
Example of use of looking glass to view installation
Looking at installation through a looking glass.
